Exercise Accommodations
Introduction
The Exercise Accommodations module in Milexco provides a comprehensive system for managing accommodation facilities during military exercises. This feature enables exercise coordinators to effectively manage accommodation resources, including capacity, gender-specific allocations, and occupancy tracking.

Managing Exercise Accommodations
Adding Accommodations
To add a new accommodation to an exercise:
- Navigate to Exercise Accommodations in the left sidebar
- Click the Attach Accommodation button
- Complete the required information:
- Select Accommodation
- Set Total Capacity
- Configure Gender-Specific Capacities (optional)
- Set Available Dates
- Choose Status
- Click Save to create the accommodation record
Editing Accommodations
To edit an existing accommodation:
- Locate the accommodation in the list
- Click the edit icon or select "Edit" from the actions menu
- Update the necessary information
- Click Save to apply changes
Viewing Accommodations
The accommodation list provides several ways to view accommodations:

List View:
- Shows accommodations in a table format
- Displays key information including name, type, status, and capacity
- Supports sorting and filtering

Detail View:
- Access by clicking on an accommodation
- Shows comprehensive information including:
- Accommodation details
- Capacity and occupancy
- Notes

Filters and Search:
- Use the search bar to find accommodations
- Apply filters for type, status, etc.
- Sort by different criteria
Deleting Accommodations
To delete an accommodation:
- Locate the accommodation in the list
- Click "Delete" from the actions menu
- Confirm deletion
- This performs a soft delete
- Records can be restored through the "Trashed" filter
Accommodation Types and Status
Types
Accommodations can be of various types, including:
- Hotel: Commercial hotel facilities
- Military Base: Military base accommodations
- Other types as configured in the system
Status
Accommodations can have the following statuses:
- Available: Accommodation is available for use
- Full: Accommodation has reached capacity
- Maintenance: Accommodation is under maintenance
- Closed: Accommodation is not available
Capacity Management
Gender-Specific Capacity
- Set separate capacities for male and female participants
- Total capacity is automatically calculated
- Visual indicators show gender-specific occupancy
- Color-coded status indicators:
- Green: Below capacity
- Red: At or above capacity
Occupancy Tracking
- Real-time occupancy monitoring
- Gender-specific occupancy tracking
- Visual indicators for capacity status
- Automatic updates when participants are assigned
Troubleshooting
Common issues and solutions:

Accommodation Already Added
- Error: "The accommodation has already been attached to this exercise"
- Solution: Each accommodation can only be added once per exercise

- Issue: Cannot exceed capacity limits
- Solution: Increase capacity or reduce participant assignments

- Issue: Status not changing
- Solution: Verify capacity and occupancy requirements are met
