Getting Started

Introduction

Milexco is designed to support the simultaneous management of multiple exercises while ensuring strict data segregation and security. This makes it essential for organizing, coordinating, and managing complex military exercises.

To begin using Milexco, you need to create an exercise. If no exercise exists when you log in for the first time, you will be prompted to create one immediately. This guide will walk you through registering, verifying your account, and initiating your first exercise. If you've already registered, we'll also explain how to initiate additional exercises.

Registration

To register for Milexco, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Registration Page: Click the Get Started button on the homepage or visit the registration page directly.

  2. Complete the Registration Form: Enter the required details, such as name, email address, address(country) and password, then click the Register button.

  3. Email Verification: Once registered, you will receive an email with a verification link. Open the email and click the link to confirm your account.

  4. Redirection: You will be redirected to the Exercise Initiation page after verifying your email.

Exercise Initiation

Once registered and verified, you can initiate your first exercise by following these steps:

For New Users

  1. Add Participant Details: After verifying your email, you'll be directed to the Exercise Initiation page. You will be greeted with a wizard that first prompts you to enter your specific participant details for the exercise:
    • Title/Rank: Your current rank or title (e.g., Lieutenant, Mr, Doctor etc.).
    • Organisation: The organisation you represent (e.g., U.S. Army, Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force).
    • Designation: Your role/position in your organisation (e.g., Company Commander, Chief Fire Officer).
    • Assignments: The tasks or roles you'll assume during the exercise.

If this is your first exercise, you must complete these fields manually. For subsequent exercises, the details will be prefilled based on the last exercise you created, but you can update them if your details have changed.

{info} If the items (e.g., Title/Rank, Organisation, Designation, or Assignments) are not available in the selection list, click the plus (+) icon at the end of the select field. This will open a modal where you can add the new item. This feature is available for most select fields throughout the application.

  1. Exercise Details Step: After adding participant details, proceed to the exercise details step. Here, you'll provide information such as:

    • Exercise Identifier / Name
    • Start and End Dates
    • Location
    • Focus Areas
    • Description
  2. Initiate the Exercise: Click the Initiate Exercise button to finalise the setup. You will then be redirected to the login page.

  3. Login and Start: Access the exercise dashboard with your credentials. You can add participants and manage transit, billeting, and other key details from here.

For Existing Users

  1. Login to an Existing Exercise Domain: If you're already registered and managing an exercise, log in to the associated domain.

  2. Navigate to Initiate Exercise: In the sidebar, click the dropdown menu by the exercise name and select Initiate Exercise. This will take you to the Exercise Initiation page.

  3. Participant Details: Confirm or update your participant details specific to this new exercise.

  4. Fill in Exercise Details: Enter the details of the new exercise, similar to when initiating your first exercise.

  5. Initiate and Start: Complete the form and click Initiate Exercise. Once initiated, you can manage the exercise in the same manner as your first.
